Desperado
 | "Let me tell you about the "Desperado" poster. There was an action that Antonio did, which haunted me throughout the production. There is a scene, at the beginning of the film, where The Mariachi (Antonio Banderas) receives a visit from his buddy (Steve Buscemi), at his motel room. When the buddy leaves, The Mariachi, who is laying on his bed resting his back against the wall, puts his gun up to his forehead. To me, it represented the essence of the mariachi. I felt he was a melancholic character, with a mixture of sensuality and sadness, and that is the way he should be portrayed."
