Melanie Griffith Banner

Melanie Griffith The very beautiful and talented Melanie Griffith is Antonio Banderas' wife and the mother of his darling baby daughter "Estela (Stella) del Carmen". She is the daughter of actress Tippi Hedren and was born in New York, New York on August 9, 1957.

Melanie has starred in an impressive number of films, and continues to shine as one of our favourite actresses. Our favourite movie line, you ask?

"I've got a head for business and a bod for sin."

Two Much

Two MuchMelanie Griffith met her future husband on the set of Two Much.

Melanie portrays the role of Betty, the ex-wife of a mobster who falls in love with Art Dodge (Antonio Banderas) and immediately expects marriage. Art, on the other hand, is preoccupied with restoring his fledgling business and with her sister (Daryl Hannah). Betty forges ahead with the wedding plans, unaware of the developments that are right under her nose.

Melanie and Antonio saved their fireworks for off-screen!

Mel plays an ex-hooker trying to escape the business and start a normal life.

Shining Through

Shining Through

During the second world war jewish/irish Melanie becomes the secretary of a lawyer (Michael Douglas), unaware that he is secretly a high-ranking colonel in the U.S. military. Some of her family were unable to escape Germany in time and are in hiding. Her concern for her cousins leads her into a dangerous mission to find and rescue them. She volunteers to become a spy in the home of an influential SS member in order to microfilm sensitive German military documents.

Melanie shows her dramatic talents in this movie. It is definetly my favourite and I will rent it again. It combines action and romance in a story that is very plausible.

Unable to get her ideas noticed, she pretends to be in a position of authority in order to do business with a client of the firm, Jack Trainer (Harrison Ford). Tess is unaware that Jack is also Katharine's boyfriend. Uh oh!
