Cover Story: "The New Sexy Moms!"

According to People, the attitude among actresses like Demi Moore, Michelle Pfeiffer, Madonna, Pamela Lee, Melanie Griffith, and Courtney Love is that "they would get better with every baby."

Also according to People, "Far from stunting careers, say many in the industry today, the glow of pregnancy and motherhood may even add luster to a movie or TV star." Lesli Linka Glatter, director of the 1995 film Now and Then, starring Moore and Griffith, says, "Demi Moore is an extremely sexy woman. Melanie Griffith, Annette Bening, these are all brave women. They've all managed to have kids and still be sexy. If anything, being a mom makes them even sexier."

In addition, People says, that star moms get more help than regular moms, " Most top actresses hire at least one full-time nanny, though that can leave some mothers conflicted. Melanie Griffith-mom to Alexander, 11 (with ex Steven Bauer), Dakota 7 (with two-time ex Don Johnson) and Stella del Carmen, born September (with current husband Antonio Banderas) - recalls an incident told to InStyle, about a recent visit with her nanny to Dakota's piano coach. Melanie, 39, says, "the teacher started to make arrangements with the nanny." " And I said, 'Hello! Excuse me, I'm the mother here.' It's easy to assume that because you're an actress you don't do those things. But I do."

Also in People, it seems that motherhood has caused a re-evaluation of one's morals. "Former wild child Griffith has become a regular Miss Manners, says her close friend, author Heidi von Beltz. "Those children", she declares, "have been taught that when you sit down at the table, you say your prayers, you wait for other people to start eating, you don't get up without excusing yourself."

"Judianna Makovsky, Griffith's costume designer in the recently wrapped Lolita, adds that having a baby gives an actress "eternal youth."
