The Media: Playgirl - February, 1997
Antonio is featured in Playgirl's February, 1997 edition. It includes a full frontal nude shot of him, but its authenticity is widely doubted. My sources tell me that Playgirl's picture is the result of "Photoshop" ===> it is NOT Antonio. Since he has no problem taking his clothes off for the camera, if that photograph really was him, he would own up to it.

ANTONIO BANDERAS - EXPOSED
... the man who made Madonna's mouth water gets your blood boiling ...
Is it that hot, Latin blood coursing through his bulging veins that makes him so naturally sultry? Or maybe it's the innocent, lamb-brown eyes, pouty mouth and dark, cascading curls that set your heart aquiver? Perhaps you swore your undying affection in the cinematic moment when he pulled out his big gun in Desperado, blowing away the bad guys who'd murdered the woman he loved. Well, whatever it is about this seductive, Spanish film star that makes women the world over weak with desire, one thing is sure - there may never be another actor who can steam up the silver screen, make your palms sweat and your lap smolder like Antonio Banderas.
For most of us, our first Banderas sightings came with his lusty roles In Pedro Almodovar's Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. Though the movie fare may have been light, after taking note of the swooning reaction of ecstatic female fans, Hollywood
knew it had the makings of a serious sex symbol on their hands.
From there, he went on to star in a series of mainstream box office hits, including Interview With The Vampire co-starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, The Mambo Kings alongside Armande Assante and Philadelphia with Tom Hanks. Banderas' most recent triumph was scoring the much-sought-after role of Che in the hightly touted Evita, opposite his number one fan, Madonna.
Now, just because he's entered the heady ranks of absolute hunks, don't think he can't act. Though flicks like Assassins (with Sly Stallone) and House of the Spirits (with Winona Ryder) seem to have been made for the sole purpose of showing off his physical assets and innate sensuality, Banderas has striven during his 20-year career to prove he's not just another drop-dead gorgeous face. He takes his job seriously. As a matter of fact, in order to better understand challenging roles,
Antonio creates detailed histories for his characters, and says he often finds himself identifying with the emotions of his on-screen alter egos long after the movie has wrapped. With that kind of dedication to his craft, how could anyone not sit up and take notice?
And once you've seen his beautiful form revealed in all its natural glory on the pages that follow, we're sure you'll agree this impossibly handsome lover will be impossible to forget ...
HEAVENLY FATHER
Not content to rest on his laurels in the acting biz, Antonio Banderas recently proved he has other talents, as well. It seems that not only is the superhunk virile, he's fertile, to boot. As evidence, he
recently fathered a child (his first) with his lady-love, Melanie Griffith.
Once the hottest topic of Tinseltown, the controversy over their on-screen/off-screen love affair has died down as the pair appear to be settling into parental bliss with their new addition, daughter Stella Del Carmen Banderas-Griffith.
"I'm extremely happy about the baby, and I love Melanie more and more every day. I'm really excited about being a father. Everything is just gorgeous," Banderas said in a recent interview.
OUT OF THE MOUTH OF THE BABE
- I would like to be more like a Don Juan, the conception I have of all that. He's a very spiritual character breaking the rules of his time and society and family, looking for a confrontation with God and saying, "What the hell is this?"

- Some people say, "Antonio, you were, for the public eye, so perfect - you had a marriage, and it was working fantastic." But, if I didn't do something in my life just to keep my image clean, that would be dirty. If I have to sacrifice fans - if anyone would say, "Oh, Antonio, this is not the right move," I'd say, "Well, f*** you!" I mean, I wouldn't say that, but it's not your life! It's my life, and I have to decide for myself ... I am passionate and generous, and sometimes I am too passionate and too generous. I fall in love with the whole thing. I don't have sheilds around. I am very much naked to everything I do in my life ... I could have used Madonna, and it would have been faster for me. It would have been perfect: I would have gotten immediately all the attention. But I said no, because I didn't fall in love with that woman.
